Hot Eagle Brings Americana Music Series Back to Justice Snow’s in August
ASPEN, COLORADO – Justice Snow’s proudly celebrates the return of Jackson Emmer and Hot Eagle for a fifth season of the Americana Music Series at Justice Snow’s Restaurant and Bar in downtown Aspen this August.
Hot Eagle features some of the Roaring Fork Valley’s finest players, alongside touring musicians from Asheville, NC, Boston, MA, and Detroit, MI. Former Aspen-based songwriter, Jackson Emmer, leads the band and founded the series in 2013.
The band will be performing a wide variety of different genres of American music every Wednesday and Sunday night in August at 9pm for no cover charge. The concerts have been described as “pure barroom romps.” Classic country and blues music get played alongside Appalachian fiddle tunes and current pop songs.
The band has packed the house almost every night during past series, and they typically play with the venue windows wide open. “It’s amazing,” remarked Emmer. “People pour in from the streets, and there is no stage. The audience is free to engage with musicians face to face. New memories are made, as old veins of American music are explored and celebrated.” Justice Snow’s invites guests to join the fun and return throughout the month of August as the band will continually mix up the variety of genres they perform so no two nights will be the same!
Hot Eagle features the following musicians:
Jackson Emmer (guitars, mandolin, vocals)
Sam Moss (guitars, fiddle, vocals)
Ross Kribbs (fiddle)
Nicole Patrick (drums)
Mike Facey (bass, vocals)
Chris Rose (trumpet, piano, vocals)
Individually, the members of Hot Eagle have been featured on NPR, Paste, The Moth, No Depression, KUVO Denver, and many other radio stations. Collectively, their shows have been called “adventurous” by The Aspen Times, and their series has reached a live audience of more than 1,300 people each session.
